Installing solar panels is a complex process that requires careful preparation, proper selection of equipment and compliance with technical regulations. In this article, we will look at how the installation of solar panels takes place, what components the system consists of and how it is connected to the existing grid.

The main stages of installation of solar panels
1. Design and preparation
   Before installing solar panels, the object is analysed: the level of insolation (the amount of sunlight), the angle of inclination of the roof or site, the presence of shading and other factors are assessed. Based on these data, a project is developed, which includes the calculation of the system capacity, equipment selection and the layout of the panels.
2. Installation of fasteners
   To install the panels, special fixings are used, which can be installed on the roof, on the façade of the building or on the ground. The mountings must be securely fixed to withstand the weight of the panels and the effects of external factors (wind, snow).
3 Mounting the solar panels
   The panels are installed on the prepared mountings. It is important to observe the correct angle of inclination (usually 30-45 degrees) and orientation (in the northern hemisphere, the panels are directed to the south). The panels are connected to each other with cables.

4. Installation of additional equipment
   After the panels are installed, the remaining system components are installed: inverter, charge controller, batteries (if provided) and monitoring system.
5. Grid connection
   The solar system is connected to the existing electrical grid of the facility. It can be a stand-alone system (for facilities without a connection to the central grid) or a hybrid system that works in conjunction with the grid.
6. Testing and start-up
   After the installation is completed, the system is tested: the correctness of connection, inverter operation and power generation are checked. If necessary, the system parameters are adjusted.

Connecting the solar system to the existing grid
The connection of the solar panels to the grid depends on the type of system:
1. stand-alone system
   Used on sites where there is no connection to the central grid. All energy generated is stored in batteries and used to power the facility.
2. Grid-connected system
   In this case, the solar system is connected to the central grid. Excess energy can be transferred to the grid (if there is an appropriate contract with the power supply company). An inverter synchronises the operation of the system with the grid.
3. Hybrid system
   Combines the elements of an off-grid and grid-connected system. It can work both from solar panels and from the grid, as well as store energy in batteries.
